I've had some disappointing Montrachet from Thénard, including the Baron Thénard distributed by Remoissenet but the 1997 isn't one of them. Rich, luxuriant aromas of honeysuckle and ample wood spice followed by forward yet elegant flavors that are impressively concentrated, nicely complex with a silky but intense palate impression.
